"I'm Sorry, Mummy!"

Ammar Yusuf sejak kebelakangan ni sangat mempratikkan this magic words, "I'm sorry, Mummy". Pada awalnya rasa macam olololo comelnya kecil kecil dah cakap "I'm sorry", lama-lama rasa macam, okay maybe I should educate him that these magic words means a lot to most people, it should be used wisely with a promise to never repeat the same mistake and you have to be sincerely regret with what you have done.

Sebab budak ni kan, bila buat salah, "I'm sorry, Mummy" lepas tu dia buat lagi KESALAHAN YANG SAMA! Sepahkan Lego contohnya. Biasanya kalau dia main sepah sepah sekejap aku akan biar and after a while aku akan suruh dia kemas. Then sedap sedap je dia tuang balik semua ke lantai. And bila dimarahi, dia cakap "I'm sorry, Mummy" sambil tersenyum senyum like these magic words mean nothing to him. Sometimes he simply says "I'm sorry, Mummy" without even look at me! It's like "Okay I have done something wrong but what the heck, just say I'm sorry and Mummy will be fine" -____-

So one night, when we were having a dinner, dia tiba tiba keluarkan balik makanan dia dari dalam mulut terus luakkan ke lantai which really pissing me off!

"Abang! Dah berapa kali Mummy cakap kalau taknak makan keluarkan letak kat tangan and bagi Mummy! Mummy tak suka la ludah ludah macam ni!"

Dia terkejut, and as always, he said, "I'm sorry, Mummy". With a smile.

I was so angry I just ignored him. He repeated "I'm sorry, Mummy" several times and his smile has fading away, but I still ignored him 'cause I really want to teach him a lesson.

I, "I'm sorry Mummy", mata dah bergenang. I ambil nasi tu tapi masih tak bercakap dengan dia. After a few minutes, dah bersihkan semua, dah cuci tangan dia segala, I cool myself down and call him to seat next to me. Dengan muka takut takut dia datang duduk sebelah.

"Mummy tak suka tau Abang buat macam tu, penat tau Mummy masak Abang buang buang je. Kat tempat lain ada orang tak ada makanan pun nak makan, Abang ada makanan Abang buang buang, berdosa tau."

"I'm sorry, Mummy". And this time he says like he really-truly-sincerely mean it.

"Okay. Mummy pun tak sengaja jerit kat Abang tadi. I'm sorry Abang."

"Bukan I'm sorry Abang laaa, I'm sorry Mummmmmyyy..." dengan muka serius penuh penekanan. Aku rasa mesti dia ingat perkataan "I'm sorry" comes in one package with perkataan "Mummy" T___T

"Oh. Okaylah." Next time jelah explain.

I guess it works for a while. It's a very long way to go but I'm hoping to see some improvement in the future.
