Further Check Up Adam Muaz

These past few days has been so tiring.

Adam Muaz masih belum sembuh sepenuhnya, dia masih ada demam sikit tapi taklah tinggi, latest temperature last night was 37.7 degree Celcius. Demam itu satu hal, tapi dia punya bengkak tonsil tu masih besar lagi, lepas tu sekeliling lidah naik banyak sangat ulser. Dah 2 hari yang dia tak makan langsung, tapi alhamdulillah masih boleh terima susu. So dia minum susu jelah throughout the day. Kesian okay, sebab bila nampak orang makan, dia nak. Suap sekali, dia menangis sakit. Maknanya dia memang nak makan, tapi sakit and tak boleh makan. Sedih tau.

So yesterday after work, we decided to bring him to the hospital. Before this pergi klinik biasa je. I suggested KPMC, H disagreed.

"Nanti dapat doktor selenge hari tu lagi macam mana?"

Dulu kami pernah ke situ, ada one Chinese doctor tu, muda lagi I think maybe he was just slightly older than us je, punyalah selenge. Dia repeat apa yang aku cakap je, macam tak convincing langsung ayat dia. Benda yang dia cakap tu tak payah ada medical background pun boleh cakap. Tapi itu jelah doktor KPMC yang selenge, doktor yang lain lain okay je. Still, H didn't want to take any chance. He suggested Hospital Az-Zahrah. I asked which one is nearer, Az-Zahrah or Hospital Putrajaya, sebab Az-Zahrah ni ramai orang so sama juga kena menunggu, so finally we opt for Hospital Putrajaya. At least it's a lot cheaper.

Adam Muaz looked fine and happy last night. maybe because all our attention is only for him, sebab abang dia kami tinggalkan di rumah pengasuh. Tak sukalah bawa anak yang sihat ke hospital, nanti elok elok sihat jadi sakit pula. We waited for 2 hours (as expected), and finally got to see the doctor. Nice Indian lady, so soft and helpful. She answered every single thing yang kami tanya. Seperti dijangka, she prescribed us with an antibiotic. Something yang kami tak suka nak bagi, sebab antibiotik ni WAJIB dihabiskan, kalau tak habis dia akan kacau sistem pertahanan badan anak in future. Kalau rasa takkan mampu nak habiskan antibiotik, jangan mulakan langsung. That's my principal. Had some disagreement with H about that many times, I understand his concern, he wants our child to get better soonest possible, but I was trying to be realistic here, kita takkan mampu habiskan antibiotik (you know, because of it taste and smell), even kalau kami mampu bagi anak kami, aku tak yakin Kak Ha boleh bagi. Yelah, kita parents dia bolehlah paksa kepit badan dia kepala dia whatsoever, Kak Ha tu tak sampai hati! Lembut hati Kak Ha tu. Kami je yang garang hehe.

Then the kind doctor advised us to monitor the other symptoms.

"Kalau BCG dia jadi merah, his tongue jadi too pinkish, and badan dia naik rashes, please come again immediately."

"Tu symptoms untuk apa doktor?" I asked, expecting answers like dengue, or perhaps chicken pox.

"Itu adalah tanda untuk penyakit Kawasaki"

I was seriously trying my best not to laugh. Come on, kelakar kan nama tu?

"This is the first time we heard about that disease, doctor," said H, obviously he is more polite than this Husna :p

Doktor kata penyakit tu dah banyak menular among kids nowadays, tapi taklah bahaya kalau kita dapat trace awal. I Googled it after that, just to educate myself.
Kawasaki disease is an illness that involves the skin, mouth, and lymph nodes, and most often affects kids under age 5. The cause is unknown, but if the symptoms are recognized early, kids with Kawasaki disease can fully recover within a few days. Untreated, it can lead to serious complications that can affect the heart. Kawasaki disease is most common among children of Japanese and Korean descent, but can affect all ethnic groups.
After a constant argument, we finally started the antibiotic last night, and again this morning. Satu hari 4 kali, dan setiap kali bagi kena ambil 12.8ml. Punyalah banyak. The first two sessions seemed okay. Harap Kak Ha dapat memberikan kerjasama, and more importantly, harap harap Adam Muaz boleh bekerjasama dengan Kak Ha.

Omg. That anyibiotic susah nak bagi. If u like u can go and buy augmentin twice a day onlym u can ask the pharmacist to kira dose for u. Better compliance.

Yeke? Okay maybe can try. In the mean time kena habiskan antibiotik ni dulu, sebab dah start kan, so kena habiskan :(

Thanks for suggestion.
